अध्याय ३: कृपस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति नीत्युपदेशः
Kṛpa’s Counsel to Duryodhana
कुण्जरै: स्यन्दना भग्ना: सादिनश्न महारथै:
kuñjaraiḥ syandanā bhagnāḥ sādināś ca mahārathaiḥ
संजय बोले— उस घोर संग्राम में हाथियों ने रथों को चूर कर दिया और महारथियों ने घुड़सवारों को काट गिराया; युद्ध की वह प्रचण्डता ऐसी थी कि बल और गर्व—दोनों ही प्रबल हिंसा के आगे पिस गए।
