धृतराष्ट उवाच
Even when power and procedure appear to legitimize wrongdoing, dharma is not nullified: the epic frames the restoration of Draupadī’s dignity through boons as a moral counterforce to the adharma of the gambling hall, reminding readers that justice and rightful order must ultimately be reaffirmed.
This verse is a concluding colophon: it signals that the seventy-first chapter has ended, specifically the portion dealing with Draupadī’s obtaining of boons within the Dyūta episode of the Sabhā Parva.
