Sabhā Parva, Adhyāya 68 — Pāṇḍavānāṃ Vanavāsa-prasthānaḥ; Duḥśāsana-nindā; Pāṇḍava-pratijñāḥ

युधन्वोवाच पुत्रसस्‍्नेहं परित्यज्य यस्त्वं धर्मे व्यवस्थित: । अनुजानामि ते पुत्र जीवत्वेष शतं समा:

Yudhanvovāca putrasnehaṃ parityajya yastvaṃ dharme vyavasthitaḥ | anujānāmi te putra jīvatveṣa śataṃ samāḥ ||

युधन्वा ने कहा—तुमने पुत्र-स्नेह का त्याग करके धर्म में दृढ़ता से स्थित रहकर जो आचरण किया है, उससे प्रसन्न होकर मैं तुम्हारे पुत्र को यह अनुमति देता हूँ कि वह सौ वर्षों तक जीवित रहे।
