Jarā’s Account and the Enthronement of Jarāsandha (जरासंधोत्पत्तिः अभिषेकश्च)
tataḥ sa rājā saṁhṛṣṭaḥ sarva tad upalabhya ca | apṛcchad hemagarbhābhāṁ rākṣasīṁ tām arākṣasīm ||
The verse highlights discernment: outward labels (like 'rākṣasī') may be challenged by evident auspicious qualities, and a dharmic response is to inquire and understand rather than react with prejudice or fear.
After witnessing and grasping the situation, the king becomes delighted and proceeds to question a radiant woman described as a rākṣasī, though she does not appear demonic—setting up an explanatory dialogue.
