मयस्य प्रतिकृतिः — Maya’s Offer and the Commissioning of the Sabhā
अभिप्रायेण पार्थानां कृष्णस्य च महात्मन: । पुण्ये5हनि महातेजा: कृतकौतुकमड्ल:ः,उसने कुन्तीपुत्रों तथा महात्मा श्रीकृष्णकी रुचिके अनुसार सभाभवन बनानेका निश्चय किया। किसी पवित्र तिथिको (शुभ मुहूर्तमें) मंगलानुष्ठान, स्वस्तिवाचन आदि करके महातेजस्वी और पराक्रमी मयने हजारों श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्यणोंको खीर खिलाकर तृप्त किया तथा उन्हें अनेक प्रकारका धन दान किया। इसके बाद उसने सभाभवन बनानेके लिये समस्त ऋतुओंके गुणोंसे सम्पन्न दिव्य रूपवाली मनोरम सब ओरसे दस हजार हाथकी (अर्थात् दस हजार हाथ चौड़ी और दस हजार हाथ लम्बी) धरती नपवायी
abhiprāyeṇa pārthānāṃ kṛṣṇasya ca mahātmanaḥ | puṇye 'hani mahātejāḥ kṛtakautukamaṅgalaḥ ||
कुन्तीपुत्रों तथा महात्मा श्रीकृष्ण की अभिलाषा के अनुसार महातेजस्वी मय ने सभा-भवन बनाने का निश्चय किया। किसी पुण्य तिथि को शुभ मुहूर्त में मंगलानुष्ठान, स्वस्तिवाचन आदि कराकर उसने निर्माण-कार्य का आरम्भ किया।
