समभ्यधावंस्त्वरितास्तत्र युद्धम भून्महत् । वे अपने पैने बाणोंद्वारा उसके बहुत-से घुड़सवारोंको मारकर तुरंत ही उसकी ओर भी दौड़े। फिर तो वहाँ बड़ा भारी युद्ध होने लगा
samabhyadhāvaṁs tvaritās tatra yuddhaṁ bhūn mahat |
संजय बोले—वे वहाँ शीघ्रता से दौड़ पड़े और वहाँ महान युद्ध छिड़ गया। अपने पैने बाणों से उन्होंने उसके बहुत-से घुड़सवारों को तुरंत मार गिराया और फिर सीधे उसी की ओर लपके; इस प्रकार वहाँ घोर और भारी संग्राम होने लगा।
