प्रवृद्धशुद्रद्रमवीरुदोष धी प्रवृद्धनानाविधनिर्सरौकसौ । यथाचलौ वा चलितौ महाबलौ तथा महास्त्रैरितरेतरं हत:,जिनके शिखर, वृक्ष, लता-गुल्म और ओषधि सभी विशाल एवं बढ़े हुए हों तथा जो नाना प्रकारके बड़े-बड़े झरनोंके उद्गमस्थान हों, ऐसे दो पर्वतके समान वे महाबली कर्ण और अर्जुन आगे बढ़कर अपने महान् अस्त्रोंद्वारा एक-दूसरेपर आघात करने लगे

yathācalau vā calitau mahābalau tathā mahāstrair itaretaraṃ hataḥ ||
जिनके शिखर, वृक्ष, लता-गुल्म और ओषधि सब विशाल होकर बढ़े हों तथा जो नाना प्रकार के बड़े-बड़े झरनों के उद्गमस्थान हों—ऐसे दो पर्वतों के समान वे महाबली कर्ण और अर्जुन आगे बढ़े और अपने महान् अस्त्रों से एक-दूसरे पर आघात करने लगे।
