देवाधिदेव ब्रह्मा और महादेवजीके ऐसा कहनेपर इन्द्रने सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंको बुलाकर उन दोनोंकी आज्ञा सुनायी ।। श्रुतं भवद्धिर्यत् प्रोक्ते भगवद्धयां जगद्धितम् | तत्तथा नान्यथा तद्धि तिष्ठध्वं विगतज्वरा:,वे बोले--“हमारे पूज्य प्रभुओंने संसारके हितके लिये जो कुछ कहा है, वह सब तुमलोगोंने सुन ही लिया होगा। वह वैसे ही होगा। उसके विपरीत होना असम्भव है; अतः अब निश्चिन्त हो जाओ!
sañjaya uvāca | śrutaṃ bhavadbhir yat prokte bhagavadbhyāṃ jagaddhitam | tat tathā nānyathā taddhi tiṣṭhadhvaṃ vigatajvarāḥ ||
संजय बोले—“जगद्धित के लिए उन दोनों दिव्य प्रभुओं ने जो कहा है, वह तुम सबने सुन लिया है। वह वैसा ही होगा, अन्यथा नहीं; उसके विपरीत होना असंभव है। अतः तुम सब निश्चिन्त होकर दृढ़ रहो, चिंता-रहित हो जाओ।”
