कृष्णां सभागतां दृष्टवा मूढेनादीर्घदर्शिना । अस्मांस्तथावहसता क्षिपता च पुनः पुन:
sañjaya uvāca |
kṛṣṇāṃ sabhāgatāṃ dṛṣṭvā mūḍhenādīrghadarśinā |
asmāṃs tathāvahasatā kṣipatā ca punaḥ punaḥ |
संजय बोले—“जब उस मूढ़, अदूरदर्शी ने सभा में लाई गई कृष्णा (द्रौपदी) को देखा, तब उसने बार-बार उसका उपहास किया और हम सब पर भी कटाक्ष करते हुए बारंबार अपमानजनक वचन फेंके। उस कर्ण के उस पूर्व कुकृत्य को स्मरण कर मेरा क्रोध शांत नहीं होता; और आज तुम निश्चय ही कर्ण की स्त्रियों को विधवा होते देखोगे।”
