प्रतिश्रुति: प्राचरदन्तरिक्षे गुहा गिरीणामपतन् वयांसि । यन्मण्डलज्येन विजृम्भमाणो रौद्रे मुहूर्तेडभ्यपतत् किरीटी
pratiśrutiḥ prācarad antarīkṣe guhā girīṇām apatan vayāṁsi | yanmaṇḍalajyena vijṛmbhamāṇo raudre muhūrte 'bhyapatat kirīṭī ||
संजय बोले—आकाश में प्रतिध्वनि फैल गई; पर्वतों की कन्दराओं में पक्षी गिर पड़े। उसी रौद्र मुहूर्त में, धनुष के मण्डलाकार खिंचाव से उन्मत्त-सा होकर, किरीटधारी अर्जुन आक्रमण के लिए झपट पड़ा।
