अक्षेषु दोषा बहवो विधर्मा: श्रुतास्त्वया सहदेवो<ब्रवीद् यान् । तान् नैषि त्वं त्यक्तुमसाधुजुष्टां- स्तेन सम सर्वे निरयं प्रपन्ना:
arjuna uvāca |
akṣeṣu doṣā bahavo vidharmāḥ śrutās tvayā sahadevo 'bravīd yān |
tān naiṣi tvaṃ tyaktum asādhu-juṣṭāṃs tena sma sarve nirayaṃ prapannāḥ ||
अर्जुन ने कहा—जुए में बहुत-से पापमय दोष हैं, धर्मविरुद्ध आचरण हैं—जिन्हें सहदेव ने तुझसे कहा था और तूने सुना भी था। फिर भी तू उन दुर्जन-सेवित व्यसनों को छोड़ न सका; इसी से हम सब नरक-तुल्य दुःख में पड़ गये।
