संनिवार्य च योधान् स सत्येन शपथेन च । प्रायोजयदमेयात्मा भार्गवास्त्र महाबल:
sannivārya ca yodhān sa satyena śapathena ca | prāyojayad ameyātmā bhārgavāstra-mahābalaḥ ||
संजय बोले— योद्धाओं को रोककर, वह—अमेय आत्मबल वाला और भार्गवास्त्र में महाबली—सत्य और शपथ के बंधन से उन्हें कर्तव्य में प्रवृत्त करने लगा।
