Prelude to Karṇa’s Slaying
अपरे कृष्यमाणाश्रन विचेष्टन्तो महीतले । भावान् बहुविधांश्वक्रुस्ताडिता: शरतोमरै:
apare kṛṣyamāṇāś ca viceṣṭanto mahītale | bhāvān bahuvidhāṁś cakrus tāḍitāḥ śaratomaraiḥ ||
संजय बोले—बाणों और तोमरों से ताड़ित होकर कितने ही घोड़े धरती पर घिसटते हुए लोट जाते थे; और खींचे जाने पर छटपटाते हुए नाना प्रकार की व्यथा और विकार प्रकट करते थे।
