कर्णनिधनश्रवणम् — Hearing of Karṇa’s Fall and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Lament

तस्य मे संशयं छिन्धि दुःखपारं तितीर्षत: । कुरूणां सृञ्जयानां च के च जीवन्ति के मृता:,“मैं इस अपार दुःखसे पार पाना चाहता हूँ। तुम मेरे इस संदेहका निवारण करो कि कौरवों तथा सूंजयोंमेंसे कौन-कौन जीवित हैं और कौन-कौन मर गये हैं?”

tasya me saṁśayaṁ chindhi duḥkhapāraṁ titīrṣataḥ | kurūṇāṁ sṛñjayānāṁ ca ke ca jīvanti ke mṛtāḥ ||

मैं इस अपार दुःख के पार जाना चाहता हूँ। तुम मेरे इस संदेह को काटो और स्पष्ट बताओ—कौरवों तथा सृञ्जयों में कौन जीवित हैं और कौन मारे गए?
