कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
देवपुत्रमहं मन्ये क्षत्रियाणां कुलोद्धवम् | विसृष्टमवबोधार्थ कुलस्थेति मतिर्मम
devaputram ahaṃ manye kṣatriyāṇāṃ kulodbhavam | visṛṣṭam avabodhārthaṃ kulastheti matir mama, rājan |
दुर्योधन ने कहा—“मैं उसे क्षत्रियकुल में उत्पन्न देवपुत्र मानता हूँ। हे राजन्, मेरा मत यह है कि उसे जान-बूझकर छोड़ दिया गया, ताकि लोग उसे किसी अन्य कुल का समझें और सत्य का बोध न हो सके।”
