Karṇa-parva Adhyāya 19 — Saṃśaptaka–Trigarta Assault and Aindra-astra Counter
एवमुक्तस्तथेत्युक्त्वा प्रहरेति च ताडित: । कर्णिना द्रोणतनयं विव्याध मलयध्वज:
evam uktas tathety uktvā prahareti ca tāḍitaḥ | karṇinā droṇatanayaṁ vivyādha malayadhvajaḥ ||
संजय बोले—ऐसा कहे जाने पर पाण्ड्यराज मलयध्वज ने कहा, “तथास्तु”; और कटु वचन से उद्दीप्त होकर बोला, “पहले प्रहार करो।” तब अश्वत्थामा ने उन पर बाण चलाए; फिर मलयध्वज पाण्ड्यराज ने कर्णी नामक बाण से द्रोणपुत्र को बेध दिया।
