Extraordinary powers are portrayed as arising within a regulated cosmic framework: they are ‘drawn out’ through proper agency and hierarchy (Kubera as controller, Śiva as enabling ‘calf’), suggesting that power without order and rightful authority is incomplete or illegitimate.
Nārada describes a mythic episode: the Puṇyajanas/Yakṣas obtain the power called Antardhāna (invisibility/disappearance) by ‘milking’ it from the Earth into an earthen pot, with Kubera acting as the milker and Śiva functioning as the calf that makes the Earth yield this essence.
