कर्णोडपि चास्य चिक्षेप बाणान् संनतपर्वण:
karṇo 'pi cāsya cikṣepa bāṇān sannataparvaṇaḥ
कर्ण ने भी उस पर संनतपर्व वाले बाण चलाए—जिनके जोड़ सुडौल और दृढ़ थे; इस प्रकार धर्मयुक्त किन्तु विनाशकारी संग्राम के बीच आघात और भी बढ़ गया।
