dṛṣṭvā tu vimukhān yodhān dhṛṣṭadyumnaṃ ca pīḍitam | śaineyo 'codayat tūrṇaṃ rathaṃ dauṇirathaṃ prati ||
योद्धाओं को युद्ध से विमुख और धृष्टद्युम्न को बाणों से पीड़ित देखकर शैनेय सात्यकि ने तुरंत अपना रथ द्रौणि (अश्वत्थामा) के रथ की ओर बढ़ाया।
संजय उवाच
In the ethics of kṣatriya warfare, a leader must not allow fear or confusion to dissolve the army’s resolve; when allies are overwhelmed and troops falter, decisive action to protect comrades and re-establish order is treated as a dharmic responsibility.
Sātyaki observes Pāṇḍava warriors losing heart and Dhṛṣṭadyumna being severely struck by arrows; he immediately drives his chariot toward Aśvatthāmā (Drauṇi) to engage him directly and relieve the pressure on his side.
