एतान्यमर्षस्थानानि मर्षितानि मयानघ । क्षत्रधर्मप्रसक्तेन सर्वमेतदनुछितम्,“अनघ! ये सारे अन्याय अमर्षके स्थान थे--असहा थे, परंतु मैंने सब चुपचाप सह लिये। क्षत्रिय-धर्ममें आसक्त होनेके कारण ही यह सब कुछ सहन किया गया है
sañjaya uvāca | etāny amarṣasthānāni marṣitāni mayānagha | kṣatradharmaprasaktena sarvam etad anucitam ||
संजय ने कहा—हे अनघ! ये सब अन्याय ऐसे थे कि असह्य क्रोध जगाते; पर मैंने उन्हें सह लिया। क्षत्रिय-धर्म में आसक्त होकर मैंने यह सब सहन किया, यद्यपि यह अनुचित था।
