सायकैर्वारितश्नापि वर्षमाणो महात्मना । “उस महामनस्वी वीरने खाण्डववनमें वर्षा करते हुए भगवान्‌ देवराज इन्द्रका सामना किया और अपने बाणोंद्वारा उन्हें रोक दिया

Transliteration

sāyakair vāritaś cāpi varṣamāṇo mahātmanā |

Translation

Sañjaya said: Even as the great-souled one poured forth a rain of arrows, he checked the enemy with his own shafts—meeting the assault with disciplined force rather than yielding to it. The scene underscores a warrior’s resolve: to stand firm under pressure and restrain harm through skill and steadiness, not mere rage.
