दृष्टवा विनिहतान् संख्ये पज्चालान् सोमकै: सह । “सोमकोंसहित पांचालोंको युद्धमें मारा गया देख आज धर्मपुत्र राजा युधिष्ठिरके मनमें बड़ा निर्वेद (खेद एवं वैराग्य) होगा
dṛṣṭvā vinihatān saṅkhye pāñcālān somakaiḥ saha |
संजय बोले—रणभूमि में सोमकों सहित पाँचालों को मरा हुआ देखकर आज धर्मपुत्र राजा युधिष्ठिर के मन में गहरा निर्वेद और वैराग्य छा जाएगा।
