महामारुतवेगेन समुद्रमिव पर्वसु । धार्रराष्ट्रबलं तात विक्षिप्तं सव्यसाचिना,तात! पूर्णिमाके दिन प्रचण्ड वायुके वेगसे विक्षुब्ध हुए समुद्रके समान सव्यसाची अर्जुनके द्वारा पीड़ित हुई दुर्योधनकी सेनामें हलचल मच गयी है
mahāmārutavegena samudram iva parvasu | dhārtarāṣṭrabalaṃ tāta vikṣiptaṃ savyasācinā ||
तात! जैसे पर्वत-प्रान्तों पर प्रचण्ड पवन-वेग से समुद्र विक्षुब्ध हो उठता है, वैसे ही सव्यसाची अर्जुन ने धृतराष्ट्र-पुत्रों की सेना को व्याकुल कर दिया है—वह छिन्न-भिन्न होकर बिखर गई है।
