Adhyāya 92: Irāvanta-śoka, punaḥ-pravṛttiḥ saṅgrāmasya

Arjuna’s grief and the battle’s renewed intensity

न हि दुर्योधनो मन्द: पुरा प्रोक्तमबुध्यत । वार्यमाणो मया तात भीष्मेण विदुरेण च

dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca |

na hi duryodhano mandaḥ purā proktam abudhyata |

vāryamāṇo mayā tāta bhīṣmeṇa vidureṇa ca |

धृतराष्ट्र बोले—दुर्योधन वास्तव में मंदबुद्धि न था, पर पहले कही हुई बात को वह समझ न सका। हे तात! मैं, भीष्म और विदुर बार-बार रोकते रहे, फिर भी उसने हितवचन नहीं माना।
