मेरोर्दिग्वर्णनम् / Digvarṇana of Meru: Uttara-Kuru, Bhadrāśva, and Jambūdvīpa Motifs
पद्मपत्रसुगन्धाश्न जायन्ते तत्र मानवाः | अनिष्यन्दा इष्टगन्धा निराहारा जितेन्द्रिया:
padmapatra-sugandhāś ca jāyante tatra mānavāḥ | aniṣyandā iṣṭa-gandhā nirāhārā jitendriyāḥ ||
उस लोक में मनुष्य खिले हुए कमल-पत्रों के समान सुगन्धयुक्त जन्म लेते हैं। उनके शरीर से पसीना नहीं निकलता; उनकी गन्ध स्वभावतः प्रिय होती है। वे भूख-प्यास के बन्धन से रहित और जितेन्द्रिय होते हैं।
