Adhyāya 78 — Bhīṣma’s Advance, Duryodhana’s Rally, and Concurrent Duels (भीष्मस्याभ्युद्यमः, दुर्योधनस्योत्साहवचनम्, विविधयुद्धवर्णनम्)
भारत! तुषार, यवन, शक और चूचुपदेशके सैनिक व्यूहके दाहिने पक्षका आश्रय लेकर स्थित हुए ।।
śrutāyuś ca śatāyuś ca saumadattiś ca māriṣa | vyūhasya jaghane tasthuḥ rakṣamāṇāḥ parasparam ||
संजय बोले—हे भारत! श्रुतायु, शतायु और सोमदत्त-पुत्र भूरिश्रवा—ये सब परस्पर एक-दूसरे की रक्षा करते हुए व्यूह के जघन भाग में स्थित हुए।
