Victory is portrayed as the fruit of spiritual and moral backing: when a side is sustained by the ‘yoga of greatness’ and by Self-centered realization (ātmamaya-yoga), it gains steadiness and protection, and success naturally ‘attaches’ to it.
Bhīṣma addresses King Dhṛtarāṣṭra, explaining why the Pāṇḍavas are secure and why victory will belong to them: they are upheld by the extraordinary spiritual power and inner realization associated with the exalted figure previously referenced in the discourse.
