Vāsudeva-Māhātmya: Duryodhana’s Inquiry and Bhīṣma’s Theological Account of Keśava

(प्रच्छादयन्‌ शरान्‌ भीष्मो निशितान्‌ कड्कपत्रिण: ।) भिनत्त्येकेन बाणेन सुमुखेन पतत्त्रिणा

(pracchādayan śarān bhīṣmo niśitān kaṅkapatriṇaḥ |) bhinattyekena bāṇena sumukhena patattriṇā

(संजय बोले:) कंक-पंखों से युक्त तीक्ष्ण बाणों से भीष्म रणभूमि को ढक देते थे; और वे सुमुख, पंखयुक्त एक ही बाण से उन बाणों को भी चीर देते थे—उनकी भयानक निपुणता युद्धधर्म के कठोर विधान में प्रकट होती थी।
