The verse underscores the unity of reality: the whole universe, though experienced as diverse and divided, is contained within the supreme divine being. Ethically, it frames the coming violence of war within a larger dharmic and cosmic order, urging humility and surrender to a truth beyond limited human perception.
Sanjaya reports to Dhritarashtra that Arjuna, during Krishna’s revelation of the universal form, sees the entire cosmos within Krishna’s body—one yet manifold—confirming Krishna’s supreme, all-encompassing nature.
