अभिपेतुर्भुशं क्रुद्धाश्छादयन्तश्न॒ पाण्डवम् | भीष्मके धनुषका काटा जाना कौरव महारथियोंको सहन नहीं हुआ। द्रोण
sañjaya uvāca | abhipeturbhuśaṃ kruddhāś chādayantaś ca pāṇḍavam |
संजय बोले—वे अत्यन्त क्रुद्ध होकर पाण्डुनन्दन अर्जुन पर टूट पड़े और दबाव बनाते हुए उसे बाणों की वर्षा से ढकने लगे। भीष्म के धनुष की टंकार उन्हें सहन न हुई; द्रोण, कृतवर्मा, सिन्धुराज जयद्रथ, भूरिश्रवा, शल, शल्य और भगदत्त—ये सातों महारथी रोष से भरकर किरीटधारी फाल्गुन की ओर दौड़े और अपने दिव्य अस्त्र-शस्त्रों का प्रदर्शन करते हुए अर्जुन को क्रोधपूर्वक शरों से आच्छादित करने लगे।
