न चक्कुस्ते रुजं तस्य स्वर्णपड्खा: शिलाशिता: । महारथी शिखण्डीने जिन महान्‌ बाणोंका प्रयोग किया था

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | na cākkuṣṭe rujaṃ tasya svarṇapakṣāḥ śilāśitāḥ |

Translation

शिखण्डी द्वारा छोड़े गए वे स्वर्णपंखयुक्त और शिला पर घिसकर तीक्ष्ण किए हुए भयंकर बाण भी भीष्मजी के शरीर में न घाव कर सके, न पीड़ा उत्पन्न कर सके।
