यदेक: समरे पार्थान्‌ सार्जुनानू समयोधयत्‌ । न चैनं पाण्डवा युद्धे वारयामासुरुल्बणम्‌

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

yad ekaḥ samare pārthān sārjunānū samayodhayat |

na cainaṃ pāṇḍavā yuddhe vārayāmāsur ulbaṇam ||

Translation

वह समरभूमि में अकेला ही अर्जुन सहित समस्त कुन्तीकुमारों से युद्ध कर रहा था; परन्तु वहाँ पाण्डव उस प्रचण्ड पराक्रमी को युद्ध में रोक न सके।
