तेषां समागमो घोरो बभूव युधि संगत: । अन्योन्यस्य वधार्थाय जिगीषूणां महाहवे
teṣāṃ samāgamo ghoro babhūva yudhi saṃgataḥ | anyonyasya vadhārthāya jigīṣūṇāṃ mahāhave ||
संजय बोले—युद्धभूमि में आमने-सामने आकर उनका समागम अत्यन्त घोर हो उठा। उस महाहव में विजय की अभिलाषा से प्रेरित वे दोनों पक्ष एक-दूसरे के वध के लिए भिड़ गए।
संजय उवाच
