Bhīṣma’s Fall, the Arrow-bed (śara-talpa), and the Establishment of Guard
हाहाकिलकिलाशब्दा: श्रूयन्ते च चमूमुखे । याहि पाञ्चालदायादमहं यास्ये युधिछ्िरम्
hāhākilakilāśabdāḥ śrūyante ca camūmukhe | yāhi pāñcāladāyāda ahaṃ yāsye yudhiṣṭhiram ||
संजय बोले—सेना के अग्रभाग में ‘हा हा’ और किलकिलाहट के शब्द सुनाई दे रहे हैं। हे पाञ्चाल-वंशज, तुम जाओ; मैं युधिष्ठिर के पास जाऊँगा।
संजय उवाच
Even amid the moral confusion of war, one must respond to crisis with disciplined duty: investigate the disturbance, communicate clearly, and coordinate action with rightful leadership rather than acting blindly.
Sañjaya reports that alarming cries and uproar are heard at the army’s front. He instructs a Pāñcāla heir to go toward the disturbance, while he himself goes to inform or meet Yudhiṣṭhira.
