छत्रोपानहदानफलप्रशंसा — Praise of the Merit of Donating Umbrella and Footwear
जमदम्नेश्व संवाद सूर्यस्य च महात्मन: । पुरा स भगवान् साक्षाद्धनुषाक्रीडयत् प्रभो
jamadagneś ca saṃvādaḥ sūryasya ca mahātmanaḥ | purā sa bhagavān sākṣād dhanuṣā krīḍayat prabho, ānīya sā tadā tasmai prādād asakṛd acyuta |
प्रभो! इस विषय में महर्षि जमदग्नि और महात्मा भगवान् सूर्य के प्राचीन संवाद का वर्णन किया जाता है। पूर्वकाल में स्वयं पूज्य जमदग्नि धनुष-विद्या की क्रीड़ा कर रहे थे। उस समय उनकी पत्नी रेणुका बार-बार उन बाणों को लाकर उन्हें फिर से दे देती थीं।
