Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
नानाविधैश्व विहगैर्जलप्रकरसेविभि: । एकद्वारामनादेयां सूपतीर्थामकर्दमाम्
nānāvidhaiś ca vihagair jalaprakara-sevibhiḥ | ekadvārām anādeyāṃ sūpatīrthām akardamām ||
वहाँ नाना प्रकार के जलाश्रयी पक्षी कलरव करते हुए उसकी प्रचुर जलराशि का पान करते थे। उसमें प्रवेश का एक ही द्वार था; वहाँ से कुछ भी लेना वर्जित था। स्नान के लिए सुन्दर और सुदृढ़ सीढ़ियाँ बनी थीं, और वह काई-कीचड़ से सर्वथा रहित था।
