Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
हर प्ज् (४ ब्र् कर ४ [४4 वसिष्ठ उवाच शतेन निष्कगणितं सहस्रेण च सम्मितम् । तथा बहु प्रतीच्छन् वै पापिष्ठां पतते गतिम्
Vasiṣṭha uvāca | śatena niṣkagaṇitaṃ sahasreṇa ca sammitam | tathā bahu pratīcchan vai pāpiṣṭhāṃ patate gatim ||
वसिष्ठ बोले—“एक निष्क (स्वर्णमुद्रा) का भी ग्रहण, मानो सौ के समान दोषकारक होता है; और सहस्र का ग्रहण उससे भी अधिक गिना जाता है। इसलिए जो ऐसे बहुत-से निष्क स्वीकार करता है, वह घोर पापमयी गति में गिरता है।”
