गोशकृन्माहात्म्य-प्रश्नः (On the Merit of Cow-Dung and the Abode of Śrī) / Inquiry into the Sanctity of Cow-Dung
महर्षि वशिष्ठका राजा सौदाससे गौओंका माहात्म्य-कथन युवानमिन्द्रियोपेतं शतेन शतयूथपम् । गवेन्द्रं ब्राह्मणेन्द्राय भूरिशंगमलड्कृतम्
yuvānam indriyopetaṁ śatena śatayūthapam | gavendraṁ brāhmaṇendrāya bhūriśaṅgam alaṅkṛtam ||
भीष्म बोले—शत्रुओं को संताप देने वाले नरेश! जो लोग जवान, सब इन्द्रियों से सम्पन्न, सौ गायों के यूथपति, बड़े-बड़े सींगों वाले गवेन्द्र वृषभ को भली-भाँति सुसज्जित करके सौ गायों सहित श्रोत्रिय ब्राह्मण को दान करते हैं, वे जब-जब इस संसार में जन्म लेते हैं, तब-तब महान ऐश्वर्य के भागी होते हैं।
