Saudāsa–Vasiṣṭha on the Purifying Power of Cows
गोप्रदानात् तारयते सप्त पूर्वास्तथा परान् | सुवर्ण दक्षिणां कृत्वा तावदद्विगुणमुच्यते
gopradānāt tārayate sapta pūrvās tathā parān | suvarṇa-dakṣiṇāṁ kṛtvā tāvad adviguṇam ucyate ||
पितामह बोले—गोदान से मनुष्य अपने सात पूर्वजों का तथा सात आनेवाली पीढ़ियों का उद्धार करता है। और यदि उस दान के साथ सुवर्ण-दक्षिणा भी दी जाए, तो उसका पुण्यफल दुगुना कहा गया है॥
