पूपान् पुनर्वसौ दत्त्वा तथैवान्नानि शो भने । यशस्वी रूपसम्पन्नो बद्धन्नो जायते कुले
pūpān punarvasau dattvā tathaivānnāni śobhane | yaśasvī rūpasampanno baddhānno jāyate kule ||
नारदजी बोले—हे शोभने! पुनर्वसु के समय पूए (मधुर पकवान) तथा अन्न का दान करने से मनुष्य उत्तम कुल में जन्म लेता है और वहाँ यशस्वी, रूपवान तथा बहु-अन्न से सम्पन्न होता है।
