भरणीषु द्विजातिभ्यस्तिलधेनु प्रदाय वै । गा: सुप्रभूता: प्राप्नोति नर: प्रेत्य यशस्तथा
bharaṇīṣu dvijātibhyas tiladhenuṃ pradāya vai | gāḥ suprabhūtāḥ prāpnoti naraḥ pretya yaśas tathā ||
भरणी नक्षत्र में जो द्विजों (विशेषतः ब्राह्मणों) को तिलमयी धेनु का दान करता है, वह इस लोक में बहुत-सी गौएँ पाता है और देहत्याग के बाद महान् यश भी प्राप्त करता है।
