Bhūmi-dānasya Māhātmya
The Pre-eminence of Land-Gift
यस्य वै शैशिरे काले तडागे सलिलं भवेत् । तस्याग्निष्टोमयज्ञस्यथ फलमाहुर्मनीषिण:
yasya vai śaiśire kāle taḍāge salilaṁ bhavet | tasyāgniṣṭomayajñasya tathā phalam āhur manīṣiṇaḥ ||
भीष्म ने कहा—जिसके तालाब में शिशिरकाल (माघ-फाल्गुन) तक जल बना रहता है, उसके विषय में मनीषीजन कहते हैं कि उसे अग्निष्टोम यज्ञ के समान फल प्राप्त होता है।
