Adhyāya 57: Tapas–Dāna Phala
On the Fruits of Austerity and Giving
तत्र दिव्यानभिप्रायान् ददर्श कुशिकस्तदा । पर्वतान् रूप्यसानूंश्व नलिनीश्व सपड़कजा:
tatra divyān abhiprāyān dadarśa kuśikas tadā | parvatān rūpyasānūṁś ca nalinīś ca sapaṅkajāḥ ||
वहाँ उस समय कुशिक ने दिव्य अभिप्राय से युक्त अद्भुत दृश्य देखे—चाँदी-सी ढलानों वाले पर्वत, और कमल-नीलोत्पल से भरी सरिताएँ-सरित्सरः; मानो वह स्थान शुभ और उन्नत लक्ष्य की ओर मन को खींचने वाला हो।
