Śulka, Kanyā, and Dauhitra-Riktha: Discourse on Bride-Price and Inheritance Rights (शुल्क-कन्या-दौहित्र-रिक्थविचारः)
सम्प्रदध्यौ तथा राजन्नग्नावग्निरिवाहित: । दहामानेन मनसा शापं श्रुत्वा तथाविधम्
sampradadhyau tathā rājann agnāv agnir ivāhitaḥ | dahamānena manasā śāpaṃ śrutvā tathāvidham ||
भीष्म बोले—हे राजन्! वैसा शाप सुनकर विपुल फिर गहन चिंतन में डूब गया—मानो एक अग्नि पर दूसरी अग्नि रख दी गई हो। उसका मन और अधिक दहक उठा; और अंतःशोक की ज्वाला से दग्ध होकर वह पुनः विचार करने लगा कि अब क्या करना चाहिए।
