मही प्रचलिता चासीत् तस्य सत्येन कर्मणा । सारा शुभ्र आकाश सब ओससे मेघोंद्वारा आच्छादित हो गया। उनके सत्यकर्मके प्रभावसे पृथ्वी काँपने लगी
mahī pracalitā cāsīt tasya satyena karmaṇā |
उनके सत्यपूर्ण कर्म के प्रभाव से पृथ्वी स्वयं काँप उठी और चलायमान हो गई। यह आख्यान धर्म के मूल सिद्धान्त को प्रकट करता है कि सत्यम्—जब अटल आचरण बन जाता है—तो वह केवल व्यक्तिगत गुण नहीं, जगत्-व्यवस्था को भी स्पर्श करने वाली शक्ति है।
