Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
अग्नौ प्रास्तं प्रधूयेत यथा तूल॑ द्विजोत्तम । तथा गज्भजावगाढस्य सर्वपापं प्रधूयते
agnau prāstaṃ pradhūyeta yathā tūlaṃ dvijottama | tathā gaṅgāmbhasi āvāgāḍhasya sarvapāpaṃ pradhūyate ||
सिद्ध ने कहा—हे द्विजश्रेष्ठ! जैसे अग्नि में डाली हुई रूई क्षणभर में जलकर भस्म हो जाती है, वैसे ही गङ्गा-जल में गोता लगाने वाले मनुष्य के सब पाप धुलकर नष्ट हो जाते हैं।
