मेने दिविष्ठमात्मानं तुष्टया परमया युत:ः । शुद्ध अन्तःकरणवाले उन ऋषि-मुनियोंकी बातें सुनकर भीष्मजी बहुत संतुष्ट हुए और अपनेको स्वर्गमें ही स्थित मानने लगे
Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: mene divi-stham ātmānaṃ tuṣṭyā paramayā yutaḥ.
वैशम्पायन बोले—परम तुष्टि से युक्त भीष्मजी ने अपने-आपको स्वर्ग में ही स्थित मान लिया। शुद्ध अन्तःकरण वाले उन ऋषि-मुनियों के वचन सुनकर वे अत्यन्त संतुष्ट हो उठे।
