आश्चर्य परम हीदं कि नु श्रेयो हि मे भवेत् । दिव्याभरणवत्त्रा हि कन्येयं मामुपस्थिता
āścaryaṁ parama hīdaṁ ki nu śreyo hi me bhavet | divyābharaṇavastrā hi kanyeyaṁ mām upasthitā ||
अष्टावक्र बोले—यह तो परम आश्चर्य है। इससे मेरे लिए कौन-सा कल्याण होगा? यह कन्या दिव्य वस्त्र और आभूषणों से विभूषित होकर मेरी सेवा में उपस्थित है। जो पहले वृद्धा थी, वही अब कन्यारूप धारण करके सामने आ गई—यह अत्यन्त विस्मय की बात है। क्या यह मेरे लिए शुभ होगा?
