आटद्य: प्रकीर्तितो राजन् सर्वपापप्रमोचन: । राजन! यह आदियमें होनेवाले देवता और ऋषियोंका मुख्य समुदाय अपने नामका कीर्तन करनेपर मनुष्यको सब पापोंसे मुक्त करता है
āṭadyaḥ prakīrtito rājan sarvapāpapramocanaḥ |
भीष्म बोले—राजन्! आटद्य सर्वपापों का नाश करनेवाला कहा गया है। आदियुग में उत्पन्न देवताओं और ऋषियों का जो प्रधान समुदाय है, वह भी यही कहता है कि उसके नाम का कीर्तन करने से मनुष्य सब पापों से मुक्त हो जाता है।
