दम्भो हादम्भो वैदम्भो वश्यो वशकर: कलि: । लोककर्ता पशुपतिर्महाकर्ता हनौषध:
vāyudeva uvāca | dambho ’dambho vaidambho vaśyo vaśakaraḥ kaliḥ | lokakartā paśupatiḥ mahākartā anauṣadhaḥ ||
वायु ने कहा—वह शत्रुओं का दमन करने वाला है, फिर भी दम्भरहित है; दम्भरहितों का आत्मीय है; भक्तों के वश में होने वाला और दूसरों को वश में करने की शक्ति रखने वाला है। वही कलियुग-रूप काल है; लोकों का कर्ता, जीवों का स्वामी, पंचमहाभूतादि समस्त सृष्टि का महाकर्ता; और अन्न-औषधि पर निर्भरता से परे है।
